City of Miami Selects Civix Lobbyist Management Solution to Modernize Ethics Oversight

METAIRIE, LA – The City of Miami has selected Civix, a leading provider of cloud-based government software, to implement its Lobbyist Module, part of the Civix Ethics Platform. The new system will modernize how the City registers lobbyists, processes filings, and provides insight into lobbying activity to the public.

The Civix Go Ethics Lobbyist Module will replace the City’s largely manual system, providing enhanced capabilities for online lobbyist registration, improved City processing time, and public dashboards. Hosted in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) U.S. cloud and protected by Civix 360° Security, the platform delivers continuous monitoring, encryption at rest and in transit, and FedRAMP Moderate-certified hosting to ensure the highest standards of security and data protection.

Through this partnership, Miami residents will gain greater access to timely, accurate lobbyist data, while City staff benefit from streamlined workflows, automated reminders, and integrated payment processing. Lobbyists will be able to register, renew, and submit filings from any device, anywhere, at any time.

“Transparency and efficiency are key to public trust,” said Phillip Braithwaite, CEO of Civix. “We are proud to work alongside the City of Miami to deliver a modern ethics platform that empowers staff, serves constituents, and upholds the City’s commitment to accountability.”

Implementation of the new system will include the secure migration of historical data from the City’s current platform, ensuring continuity and accuracy. The project is expected to go live following a collaborative rollout with City staff.
