Civix Chosen to Help Mississippi Modernize Campaign Finance and Lobbyist Reporting
METAIRIE, LA – The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office (MSOS) has chosen Civix to deliver a new, centralized solution for campaign finance and lobbyist reporting. Replacing Mississippi’s legacy STAR system, Civix’s cloud-based Go Ethics platform was chosen to:
- Enable electronic filing
- Close gaps in current reporting processes
- Streamline the experience for staff, filers, and the public
Civix’s Go Ethics software is a cloud-native, continuously updated solution, eliminating the disruption of major system overhauls, offering a practical, accessible, and financially sustainable approach to modernization.
Once implemented, it will simplify the filing experience for candidates, PACs, and lobbyists. It will also provide administrators with automated tools to review, track, and publish disclosures, ensuring the public has timely access to information.
This marks Civix’s second recent partnership with the MSOS Office, following the selection of Go Register to replace multiple aging applications, underscoring a shared commitment to ongoing innovation and citizen-focused service delivery.
“We’re honored to be chosen once again by the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office,” said Phillip Braithwaite, CEO of Civix. “Their decision to modernize two critical systems with purpose-built, government SaaS sends a strong message about the future of public sector software, demonstrating the reliability, security, and long-term sustainability of solutions designed specifically for government operations.”
