Leadership Series: Mona Nosari

At Civix, our clients are driven by the millions they serve.  In turn, we’re driven to ensure they have the best solutions to support their work. We want to help bring innovative ideas to a public sector that faces significant challenges. When we help our clients succeed, it enables them to make a positive impact in the lives of the people they serve.  This partnership doesn’t work without great people.

Meet Mona Nosari, Vice President, Right of Way Management

Where is home?
I live in Gretna, LA which is on the west side of the Mississippi River about 9 miles from the New Orleans central business district.

Where did you go to school?
I attended the University of New Orleans, Paralegal Studies Program.

Tell us about your work at Civix?
I joined Civix in 1984 and have worked on a wide variety of projects in both support and project manager roles.  During the past 20 years,  I have focused on customer satisfaction, business development, and successful project delivery.  I currently serve as Vice President of Right of Way Management in the Land and Grants business unit and work with a team of directors, managers and land and GIS specialists on right of way acquisition projects and GIS management solutions for local and state agencies.

What are you most proud of?
This year Civix recognizes 30 successful and continuous years of client engagement with the Pontchartrain Levee District, a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana whose mission is to maintain the levees along the Mississippi River and provide increased levels of flood protection through the construction of new flood protection improvement projects for six east bank parishes in Louisiana.  Through a competitive bid process in 1991, the firm was awarded a small contract to acquire right of way for construction of a test levee in St. Charles Parish.  Today, Civix supports the levee district on planned public works projects throughout their jurisdiction.

Contributing to the growth of the company, relationship building, and creating opportunities for professional growth for others has been fulfilling.

On a personal note, I am married over 33 years and enjoy spending time with my daughter, son and parents.

What is your professional interacting style?
I am direct, communicative and have a sound work ethic.

What are your strengths?
I am always willing to share my work experience and knowledge with others.  I am detailed oriented and committed to successful project delivery.

What is a fun fact about you?
I have two female chihuahuas (Mia and Maya) from the same litter who I often take with me on outings.
