NEW ORLEANS, LA (October 5, 2020) – Today, Civix launched its new Transit Safety & Operations Compliance System (TSOCS), a fully-integrated software solution that helps transportation system operators minimize risk, increase safety, and comply with the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) Final Rule.
Under the PTASP, certain operators must have a safety plan in place by the postponed date of December 31, 2020. TSOCS provides a single system of record to facilitate compliance, utilizing the latest in web, mobile, and GIS technology to provide location-based, real-time communication of activities and incidents from operational units. The application is supported by GCR’s experienced team of former senior transportation managers and security experts.
“There are limited software options available to help operators comply with PTASP, and we’re confident that we’re offering the very best solution,” said Tim Walsh, president of Civix Transportation, which provides technology and professional services to the transportation and aviation industries. “With more than 20 years of experience and 400 staff members, we are well positioned to assist operators in meeting this approaching safety compliance deadline and much more.”
TSOCS is currently implemented at 10 government agencies and surpasses DOT 4-pillar requirements. The application’s features include SMS end-to-end reporting, built-in documentation and record keeping, ESRI GIS mapping, intelligent ‘Insight’ dashboards, and mobile app integration, among others.
The springboard for the development of TSOCS was Civix’s leading aviation safety and operations compliance software (ASOCS), the most robust in the industry.
“We help manage safety and operations for the busiest airports in the world, and with the launch of TSOCS, we’re able to offer the same level of capabilities to transportation system operators, big and small,” said Walsh.
