Albuquerque Launches New Campaign Finance Filing System with Civix

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The City of Albuquerque just hit a major milestone in campaign finance transparency and accessibility with the launch of its new online disclosure filing system—developed by Civix.

As candidates submit their first disclosures today, the new system is already making a difference. Designed to simplify the filing process and improve public access to data, the upgraded tool offers:

  • Step-by-step guidance to help candidates navigate filing requirements
  • Automatic reminders to keep deadlines on track
  • A real-time public dashboard for Albuquerque residents
  • A cloud-based platform with no downloads or installs

“We’ve been working hard to take the stress out of campaign finance,” said City Clerk Ethan Watson. “This new system is long overdue, and it gives candidates a better way to file their reports and voters a better way to track what’s going on.”

Yesterday’s filing deadline marks the first major use of the new system under the City Charter—and the City Clerk’s Office has ensured a seamless transition with robust support and training resources available for all users.

At Civix, we’re proud to partner with forward-thinking governments like Albuquerque, where technology is being used to modernize services and build public trust.
