Helping Communities Identify Housing and Community Investment Priorities
COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Civix provides technical assistance and full-scale support to create planning documents that meet Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements and further your community’s housing and community development goals. Jurisdictions that receive HUD funding are required to develop planning documents, including Consolidated Plans, Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing,
Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Reports (CAPERs), Annual Action Plans, and Citizen Participation Plans. Civix provides regulatory expertise and planning capabilities to assist your community in developing these materials from community engagement to program design and implementation.
Our planners and regulatory specialists help navigate the changing federal regulatory landscape,
creating compliant planning documents, while using best practices in stakeholder and community engagement and data analysis and visualization and leveraging our knowledge of designing and evaluating HUD’s grant programs.
- FAIR HOUSING: Civix is an industry leader in the development of compliant Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing documents. We go beyond the minimum federal requirements to incorporate Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) data and outreach principles to create actionable fair housing plans. From data analysis and mapping and strategic community and public engagement, to developing draft impediments to fair housing and goals, Civix is ready to assist your community in furthering fair housing.
- CONSOLIDATED PLANS AND ACTION PLANS: Our regulatory experts design and run HUD funded programs across the country. With program compliance and data-driven strategic solutions in mind, we develop Consolidated Plans tailor to your community’s needs and priorities. We analyze and summarize demographic data, housing market trends, programmatic actions, departmental and subrecipient activities, and community resources used to carry out the needs identified by stakeholders and residents.
